Despite some issues, we did find a few positive aspects during our Christmas stay. the location was fantastic. We were just a short drive away from both the beach and downtown, making it easy for us to explore the area. Additionally, the apartment itself was clean and well-stocked with supplies. This made our stay much more convenient, as we didn't have to worry about running out of essentials. Lastly, the owner was very accommodating and provided us with useful recommendations, which enhanced our overall experience.

There were a few negative aspects that we want to mention. the light switches were in odd places, which made it difficult for us to find them and turn them on during our first night.

This was a perfect getaway for a relaxing beach vacation. Just a short 5-minute drive to the beach and 20 minutes to downtown Charleston. The property and rooms were meticulously clean, thanks to Paul's efforts. We discovered an amazing NY Bagel restaurant nearby that even impressed my wife, a tough critic. The host was communicative and provided helpful instructions before arrival. We loved the welcome basket and the location, right on the river with a calming view of wildlife. Highly recommended!

gray heron house was everything we wanted and more—comparable to a motel room but with added benefits. the location was ideal for exploring Charleston and Folly Beach, and the neighborhood was peaceful. the beds were comfortable and the kitchen and sitting areas were very nice. we loved the peaceful deck on the lakeside. overall, a fantastic experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Gray Heron House! The location was perfect, right on the bay with our own surf shack. The house was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. Paul, the owner, made everything convenient for us, from providing parking instructions to the code to access the house. We appreciated the welcome basket and the portable air conditioner for those hot days. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was even a washer and dryer. The deck and dock were great spots to relax and enjoy the waterfront. The house was also conveniently located near a grocery store, restaurants, and a retail store.

The location was perfect, close to all the main attractions and yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The deck offered stunning views and a nice place to relax. The host had thought of everything to make us feel at home, from the well-supplied kitchen to the comfortable linens and towels. The cleanliness and attractive decor added to our overall enjoyment.

The fish jumping nonstop provided endless entertainment, and my husband was able to enjoy some fishing. The host was responsive and the neighborhood was walk-friendly.

We had a delightful stay at this property. The decor and fittings were attractive and tasteful. The view from the rear lounge overlooking the lake was magnificent. The location was convenient, just a short 20-minute drive from the center of town. There were two comfortable lounges, one with a TV and an open kitchen, and another opening out to a deck with a range of comfortable furniture. The owner provided a TV with both Prime and Netflix. The kitchen was fully equipped and well provisioned, including a gift basket of snacks and wine. The host was communicative and easily reachable. The bathroom was spacious and had two sinks.

Our stay at Gray Heron House was absolutely amazing! We stumbled upon this property by mistake, but it turned out to be the best find ever. The owner, Paul, was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and felt like a home away from home. We had a fully-equipped kitchen and even a washer and dryer. The location was perfect, just a short drive to Folly Beach. The view of the inlet was beautiful, and we loved the outdoor furniture. We can't say enough good things about this place and what a great deal it was. Don't hesitate to book it!

We did have a few minor issues during our stay. The directions could have been clearer regarding which staircase to take and how to access the keys.
